Standing on the vantage point of 6 decades, Baby Boomers have a sublime glow as they celebrate, hydrate, anticipate ! Celebrating each precious moment of life is the name of the game. Hydrating the body keeps one in the game. Anticipating the future, adds enthusiasm to the game of life.
This noble group who has been through the Fire of Life, learning life-lessons through experience, have no intentions of "fading" into the background of our culture. They have a vision of being "visible", making a difference, leaving a legacy ! They are energized when sharing their skills, knowledge, education, experience and souls with fellow citizens.
Adventure is "buzz word" for the 40 million Baby Boomers reaching 60 this year. They simply do not desire to miss out on life's wonderment ! Following One's Bliss is important to Aging Boomers. Becoming more, reaching a higher plateau, pushing the envelope, reaching for the stars, and stretching to the limits of their abilities is evident as we observe this group participating in marathons, weight lifting competitions, and beauty pageants.
I participated in the 2000 Ms. Senior Alabama Competition. One of the criteria for being a contestant - you must be 60 years old. The experience enriched my life. I made new friends, used talents that were hidden inside me, and won the award for "The Most Stunning Smile" ! This pageant introduced me to the beginning of walking through new doors, seeing new sights, feeling expanded emotions of joy.
Being included in this flamboyant, motivated, intelligent group gave me the courage to write my 5th book, "Sensational after 60™... Loving Life All Over Again" ! If you are one of the 40 million Baby Boomers turning 60 this year, you must put "Sensational after 60™... Loving Life All Over Again" on "YOUR MUST HAVE list" !
